Almería is famous for its wonderful seafood and delicious local produce.  Our partner hotel offers a very good standard of cuisine but for those wishing to experience more of what the area has to offer, there are over 175 restaurants in Mojácar alone, and the port of Garrucha, famed for its red prawns, is close by.

Locally caught delicacies such as crayfish,“Gallo Pedro”, red fish, grouper, snapper, bream, cuttlefish, octopus, sardines and sea bream are often available on local menus, but there are also very good steak houses in the area, as well as restaurants specialising in Italian, Thai, Indian and Chinese cuisine – not to mention fabulous Spanish restaurants offering classic dishes such as paella as well as a wide range of imaginative and flavourful dishes.  There is something to suit every taste, and most places offer dishes suitable for vegetarians.
