As we prepare for the biggest camp to date a visit to the UK was in order to catch up with friends and family! One thing ( and there aren’t many! 😂) I miss about the UK is the good old fashioned club run with breakfast half way through and beers after! 🍺 A ride out to Cambridge with the MPCC and clients of ours was in order. My goodness how cold is it here!! 🤧 After sourcing winter kit for the first time in years we rolled out through Essex, Herts and Cambs after a thoroughly in-depth briefing from Ian! 🥸He set a fabulous pace as we all sat on the ‘Watto train’ before stopping 95km in at the beautiful Cambridge town centre. However not being great for a Full English, having paid 5 euros for a coffee 😳 we headed to the back up cafe. Having got us hopelessly lost we fluked our way to a lovely cafe in Ickleton before bacon sarnies to fuel our return journey. With a tailwind home lots of PB’s were set as we made our way to
Bishops Stortford for post ride Guinness / Leffe although hardcore Jamie pressed on undeterred! 👏🏼 All in all thoroughly enjoyable day (especially as Lisa came to pick me up!) but I
must admit I am looking forward to getting back to the 🌞! On to the Mallorca 312 this week then looking forward to welcoming Jamie and fellow Met guys back to Mojacar for our second camp in May.
