About Mojácar Cycling Holidays

We pride ourselves on giving our clients a total cycle experience.

What’s different about MCH?

The founders of Mojácar Cycling Holidays are Andy and Ron, who share a passion for cycling.  Both have cycled extensively throughout Europe and regularly made the trip to Mallorca for cycling holidays before discovering Mojácar.

They had never met until they ended up living in this beautiful part of Spain, and both agreed it didn’t take long to realise they had found somewhere very special.  The warm, dry climate, along with stunning coastlines, high quality, quiet roads, beautiful Spanish villages, fantastic food and dramatic mountains combine to make a paradise for cyclists like themselves.

“Brilliant week of cycling with Yeomo, knowledgeable of the area, keeps the group together safely and makes it a lot of fun. Will ride on his camps again as soon as possible.”

Andy ‘Yeomo” Yeoman

Tour Lead

Andy enjoyed early success as a schoolboy racer in cross, road, TTs and track, and now competes regularly in BC, LVRC and TLI racing events. He spent four years as a ride leader in Mallorca, and has been cycling in Mojacar for the last seven years. He moved here permanently in 2020.

Andy loves the mountains and enjoys leading big groups at 30kms plus, while keeping a steady pace - and of course, testing his prowess against some of our fittest clients.

Ron Hounsell

Tour Lead

Ron is the most recent convert to Mojacar - he came for a week’s holiday in June 2020, and loved it so much he soon decided to move his home base from Scotland to live here permanently.

A retired firefighter, Ron played rugby until he was 51 years old before discovering the joys of cycling.

Dan Waters

Tour Lead

Dan first discovered his love for cycling whilst living in France, and since moving to Mojacar in 2020 has continued to enjoy the fantastic roads and great climate offered in this lovely part of Spain.

He loves the variety of routes available, from the undulating coast roads to the quiet inland hill-climbs, as long as there is a coffee stop included in the ride!

He has recently competed in the Trackman 8 hour endurance race at Tabernas and completed the Vera Triathlon.’

Eric Wintersgill

Tour Lead

From an early background in running and squash, Eric moved into Triathlon in the early 2000’s, competing in numerous events, ranging from Sprint to Ironman. He has completed nine full distance races, the highlight of which was qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii; and it was training for these long-distance events that developed his love of cycling.

Resident in Spain and the Mojacar area since 2018, he has built an extensive knowledge of the many amazing coastal and more challenging inland routes that are available to all levels of cyclist.
